Class AAA playoffs: Carrollton too much for Creekview

CARROLLTON - Carrollton scored 24 unanswered points to pull away for a 31-14 win over Creekview Friday night in the first round of the Class AAA playoffs.

After Carrollton had taken an early 7-0 lead, Creekview's Hunter Livingston tied the game on a 2-yard run. Livingston's run was set up on an interception by Jake Barclay.

It was all Trojans after that. Jared Cooley scored on a 1-yard run in the second quarter to give Carrollton the lead for good. Joel Smith added a 37-yard field goal just before the half for a 17-7 lead.

The Trojans added two more scores in the second half for a 31-7 lead.

Creekview's final score came on 10-yard touchdown pass from Cody Allen to Justin Wright with nine seconds.

The Grizzlies are still looking for their first-ever playoff win. they fell in the first round last season.
