Baseball: Lumpkin stays unbeaten with rout of Gilmer

ELLIJAY -- Drew Uptegraph struck out eight and allowed just two runs in leading Lumpkin County to a 12-3 rout of Gilmer Tuesday in Region 7-AAA action.

Eight different players had hits for the Indians (3-0, 1-0 in region) led by Jonathan Whitehead and Devin Dunson with one hit and two RBI apiece.

Blake Sargent and Chad Fulton each had one hit and one RBI for the Indians.

Lumpkin next will play host to West Hall Wednesday and then travel to Flowery Branch Thursday.
