GAINESVILLE - At Lake Lanier's Olympic venue, the unexpected cool cloudy weather did not stop collegiate rowers from around the Southeast from competing Saturday.
Last year the Southeastern Regional Collegiate Sprints went to South Carolina because the lake level was too low.
Event volunteer coordinator Susan Herda said this year, the water is up, and the college rowers returned to the Lanier Venue.
