Barrow County Sheriff's deputies said Wheeler was killed when her blue Toyota Solara was struck by a westbound red Honda Civic. The driver of that vehicle, Justin Craig Stephens, age unknown, of Buford, received serious injuries that are not considered to be life threatening. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident to determine the exact cause. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
