Hall school employees still facing possible pay cuts

GAINESVILLE - Salary cuts still loom as a possibility for Hall County school employees as the school system continues preliminary work next year's budget.

Superintendent Will Schofield says the budget is in the "working stage" and reflects no increase in the school tax rate despite "significantly" less state support.

Schofield added that even by cutting 100 positions already, Hall County schools still may have to cut salaries to balance the budget.
