GAINESVILLE - Hall County Commissioners Thursday night voted to stop what one member called governing by "ambush."

Bobby Banks defined "governing by ambush" as bringing an item up during regular meeting commission time with the vote to follow in less than five minutes, like the proposed ethics ordinance. From now on, Banks wants a review before commissioners vote.
