Vets go fishing with the Falcons on Lake Lanier

FLOWERY BRANCH - Twenty-five active duty veterans from Fort Gordon in Augusta took off for an afternoon of fishing on Lake Lanier Tuesday hosted by the Atlanta Falcons.

At Van Pugh Park North in Hall County Army 1st Lt. Josh Darnell, on the mend from a wound in Afghanistan, waited his turn to board a fishing boat.
Darnell, from near Athens, said the closest thing he saw to Lake Lanier in the combat zone was a mud puddle after a hard rainâ

Each vet partnered with one or more Falcons players, marking the second time the Falcons have hosted the event
