J&J Foods announces 2009 food safety managers

GAINESVILLE - A total of nine managers from J&J Foods recently were designated as Food Safety Managers.

At J&J Foods each manager took the SuperSafeMark Food Safety Manager Course. This course consists of a 15 hour in depth study of all the practical aspects of Food Safety as it relates to the retail food industry.

Once the course was complete, the managers participated in the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals exam. This is a nationally recognized exam that is very challenging and requires each participant to demonstrate a thorough and broad knowledge of Food Safety principles. J&J Foods had nine participants in the exam, and all of them passed.
