CORNELIA - Sometimes being a Good Samaritan can backfire. That's what one teenager learned when he tried to help what he thought were two stranded motorists in Habersham County.

"At which time one of the individuals pulled a gun, held him at gunpoint, while another one stole some money from him," said Habersham County Sheriff's Investigator Michael Long.

He said the incident happened Tuesday around 11 p.m. on Pea Ridge Road near Shore's Store. The young man was not hurt.

Long said investigators are following several leads in the case.
