(Cumming)- Ninth District Congressional candidate Mike Evans, announced Tuesday a new North Georgia-JOBS Initiative. Evens says he will transform his district offices into economic development coordination centers. The District Director will be an experienced economic development professional who will serve as a coordinator with cities and counties to help job creation efforts in each corner of north Georgia.

Evans also said he will travel anywhere, anytime to help recruit new industries and support local economic development efforts. According to Evans he will create a North GA-JOBS Initiative Steering Committee comprised of economic development officials from each county.

That Committee will be chaired by Paul Kreager who recently retired from the University of Georgia after 20 years of leadership in economic development all across Georgia.
