Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast draws big crowd despite rain

GAINESVILLE - An estimated 2000 hungry folks braved fog and drizzle for Saturday's 48th Annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast.

Organizers served pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee to the breakfast patrons from 7:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Gainesville Civic Center.

Proceeds from the yearly event benefit children's programs sponsored by Gainesville Kiwanians. There was no estimate yet on money raised at the event.
