GAINESVILLE - The rainy weather did not stop Saturday's 21st annual Lake Lanier Association Shore Sweep but it did slow it down a bit.
As light rain fell at Clark's Bridge John Bradley and his Dad Howard stood their posts at a big orange dumpster and waited for volunteers to bring in bags of trash and lake shore debris.

Bradley said the lake's higher level this year made trash retrieval a bit harder
