Hall Commission tables library decision

GAINESVILLE - There was no decision Thursday night on re-locating the new North Hall County Library by Hall County Commissioners; after hearing from Clermont residents and city officials, they decided to table it.

Commissioners voted down Steve Gailey's motion to table the library issue but an hour later they voted to delay the decision for two weeks. During that hour they heard pleas to keep the county's promise to locate the new library in Clermont and not at the North Hall Community Center site on Nopone Road; several residents urged commissioners to delay their decision.

Councilman John Brady spoke for his town, saying Clermont has kept the library up for many years and deserves a new one.
