LULA - Lula city council members agreed Monday night they want to hold rates down, but they did give first reading adoption to what the mayor calls a modest water sewer rate increase.

Mayor Milton Turner said the city did studies, held two public hearings, and it was time to consider raising the rates to cover operation costs.
