Track: Trojans' McCormack, Wilhoite set state marks at Coaches Classic

FLOWERY BRANCH - North Hall's Ty McCormack and Peyton Wilhoite each state standards in the Coaches Classic at Georgia Tech.

McCormack posted the fastest 1,600-meter time in Georgia with a 4:17.56 performance Saturday. Wilhoite's discus throw of 171-feet, 7-inches Friday was the best in the state so far.

Meanwhile, the Trojans finished fourth Saturday at the Flowery Branch Invitational. North Hall was paced Peyton Wilhoite, 1st in the discus; Jordan Chaffin, 2nd in the 400 and 3rd in the 200; Ben Booth, 3rd in the pole vault; and Cody Barger finished 4th in the 3200. Ben Satterfield took 4th in the 200m; Jacob Fortner, 4th in the 110m hurdles, and Randy Olson placed 4th in the 100m dash.

The 4x400m relay team of Chaffin, Travis McEnaney, Will Martin, and Luis Gonzalez placed 3rd and the 4x100m relay team of Isaiah Gillerson, Satterfield, Olson, and Chaffin finished 4th.
