Vehicle Crashes Into Helen Restaurant

HENEL - An 89 year old woman who lost consciousness while driving Sunday morning crashed into the kitchen area of the Hofbrauhaus Restaurant on North Mains Street in Helen.

Helen Police Chief Ted Ray said, the woman was driving a mini van north on main street and veered off the road in a curve crashing into the building. No one was in the restaurant at the time.

The woman was transported to hospital for treatment of injuries. Both the van and the building suffered considerable damage.
