Lakewood holds Independence Day service

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville's Lakewood Baptist Church held a patriotic service recognizing armed service members past and present on this Fourth of July Sunday.
The featured speaker pointed to the difference between the United States and Middle Eastern terrorists in Iraq. While stationed in Iraq, Marine Major Kevin Jarrard, now Riverside Military Academy Commandant, befriended two seriously ill children and helped send them to the U.S. for life saving heart surgery.
