Sinyard said, "This takes the event to whole new level and brings in teams from all over the country who follow the Kansas City competitions." In addition, Governor Perdue declared it a State Competition. The White County Board of Commissioners also presented a Proclamation to Cleveland Better Home Town in support of the event.
This year's event includes the addition of a music stage with live music on Friday night. The BBQ Tasting area will allow the public to choose the best BBQ pulled pork in town! Other activities will include a Backyard Cook Competition to find the best wings in town, a Kid's Play Area, Arts & Crafts vendors inside the old gymnasium, the Agri-fest & Country Market, a Scarecrow Decorating Competition, the Best Carved Pumpkin Contest and an exciting Public Safety display by White County Emergency Management and the White County Sheriff's Office.
United Community Bank has also signed on as the Grand Champion Awards Sponsor of the event.
