Reception For Two White County Sheriff's Department Employees

(Cleveland)-  Two employees with the civil division of the White County Sheriff's office are calling it quits after almost 50 years  of service between the two. 

Court Bailiff James  Chambers and  Captain Debby  Waldrep  have retired  and a special reception in their honor was held Tuesday at the White County Courthouse.  White County Sheriff Neal  Walden said  these two have been dedicated employees with combined service  close to 50 years and were a vital part of the court process.  

Chambers has served for 31- years as court bailiff  and says there have been quite a few changes during those years. He was hired by Sheriff Frank Baker in 1979.  Chambers has served under 2 sheriffs, 3 clerks, 5 district attorneys and 7 superior court judges. 

Waldrep is a Captain with sheriff's office civil division and has served  the county for 13 years.  At  Tuesday's reception she commented on being called the courthouse mama saying " yes everybody come to me because I generally know where it is or how to go about getting it,  all of these are my kids, I love  em "  Both say they plan to do traveling and  other fun  things.
