GAINESVILLE - Plans to widen two major South Hall thoroughfares will be on the table at two public information meetings later this week.

Both will be on Thursday.

One will address the planned widening of Spout Springs Road and will be conducted by the Hall County Public Works Department from 5:00-7:30 at Spout Springs Elementary School.

The other will detail the proposed detour for the upcoming widening of Friendship Road and will be held by state DOT at Friendship Elementary School from 4:00-7:00.

Both will use a "drop-in" format, meaning there will be no formal presentations. However, maps and other information will be available and engineers and other personnel will be on hand to offer input and answer questions.

At the Friendship Road meeting, Georgia DOT engineers will be available to discuss the proposed project, detour routes necessary during construction and potential locations for noise wall installation.
