White County Opens New Convenience And Recycling Facility

(Cleveland)- White County's new, long awaited, convenience and recycling center is now open.  Harry Barton, White County Solid Waste Director said the new facility, located at 519 Hulsey Road opened Saturday and will be opened three days a week,  Monday and Wednesday  9 AM until 5 PM and Saturday's  8 AM until 4 PM.  

Barton said the center is accepting  the usual items ( Newspaper, Magazine and plastic and bagged garbage) plus now they are accepting flattened corrugated paper.  He advised be sure to flattened the boxes before you come to the center to save time. 

The new center replaces a site that had to be removed due to the construction of the new county detention center.
