Gainesville man killed in White County accident

HELEN - A 46-year old Gainesville man was killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday night in White County. White County Corner Ricky Barrett identified the victim as Richard Damon Pursley, a former resident of Cleveland.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 9:20. Pursley was the only person on the motorcycle when it ran off the road, just south of Helen. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
