Cumming woman's father arrested in death of husband

CUMMING - Forsyth County authorities said a woman's father has been arrested for fatally shooting his son-in-law.

77-year-old Larry Martin was charged with one count of murder on Friday in the death of 41-year-old Ronald E. Priester.

Authorities said Priester's wife returned home from a business trip and found him dead from a gunshot in the couple's home in a Cumming subdivision.

Sheriff Ted Paxton said Martin resided in the home with the Priesters. Martin lived in the basement and was at the home when deputies arrived Thursday night after responding to a 911 call.

Paxton said there was no sign of forced entry or robbery in the Aldridge Court home.
