The seminar is sponsored by Clarkesville-based Piedmont College; the U.S. Attorneys Offices of Middle, Northern, and Southern Districts of Georgia, Victim Witness Programs; the FBI, Atlanta Division, Victim Witness Program; and the Licensed Professional Counselor Association of Georgia.
Session topics will include Child Pornography; Fraud and Identity Theft (including Cyber Crimes); and Ethics for Law Enforcement & Professionals Who Work with Crime Victims.
There is no charge for the seminar, which will run from 8:00-4:30. Registration deadline is May 4, and the seminar qualifies for eight hours POST & CE Credits (Core and Ethics) for Professional Counselors. The seminar is open to all sworn law enforcement officers, analysts, federal and state prosecutors, the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), K-12 counselors, victim advocates, and medical health providers.
