ALPHARETTA - A stretch of a busy thoroughfare through metro Atlanta and North Georgia is set to close as accident investigators reconstruct a wreck that claimed the life of a motorist.

Two northbound lanes of Georgia 400 will be closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in Alpharetta. Authorities say the northbound ramp to Georgia 400 from Haynes Bridge Road will also be closed during that time.

Alpharetta police say 67-year-old Edward Kivlin died in a multi-vehicle accident at the site on April 11.

Authorities are asking that motorists consider alternate routes and slow down around the crash investigators.
