NORCROSS - Students at Meadowcreek High School in Gwinnett County gathered Sunday night for a candlelight vigil at the school after the loss of a classmate in a crash over the weekend.

Johlanda Lindsey, 16, a junior at the school, was killed and three other students were injured in an accident following the school's prom.

Meadowcreek Track Coach Kevin Crawley told Fox 5 News Johlanda was a member of his team.

"She was just a wonderful person, an outstanding athlete and just well loved," said Crawley.

Authorities said alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the two car wreck on Steve Reynolds Boulevard near Beaver Ruin, but it is possible speed was. Some students have reported the two cars were racing to an after prom party.
