WINDER - A Winder man has been found guilty of killing his wife, whose body was found in a Georgia well last summer.

Barrow County Clerk of Superior Court Regina McIntyre said a jury on Thursday found 42-year-old James Lynn Jr. guilty of murder, felony murder and aggravated assault.

Lynn was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Authorities said his wife, Tonya Faye Lynn, was found in the well about 20 to 30 feet below ground in July.

An autopsy found that she died of injuries from blunt force trauma.

Police have said they began investigating after relatives reported the 38-year-old woman missing. Friends and family had become alarmed when the mother four didn't show up for work at an Athens hospital.
