Former LaPrade's owner dies at 87

CLARKESVILLE - Funeral services will be held Friday for Clarkesville businessman Wallace Patrick Nichols, who owned and operated LaPrades's on Lake Burton for 30 years.

Nichols and his family ran the restaurant, boathouse and campground from 1972 until 2002. He also owned an appliance store, service station and grading business during his business career.

Nichols was 87-years-old.
