Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Jennifer Roberts said the shooting happened around 7:30 at a home on Ashland Creek Court.
According to authorities, the deceased, a 57 year old man and a 37 year old woman were a divorced couple that were still living together.
Roberts says the couple's three children were also present at the time of the shooting.
The victim's names will be released pending notification of next of kin.
