Emory Teasley and his two brothers were convicted in the October 29, 2005 shooting death of James W. Riden at the Big H Food Store in Winder.
While Emory Teasley was not the gunman in the crime, he was convicted on murder charges for helping his brother Tyrone Teasley escape from authorities. Chris Teasley also was present at the time of the shooting death, according to authorities. He was convicted of murder and other charges, as well. His conviction was upheld earlier this year.
The high court's decision to uphold the verdict against Emory Teasley was unanimous.
