Authorities said Joseph D. Jackson was being questioned at a location on Neese-Commerce Road in rural Madison County last Thursday when he managed to wrestle free from the investigator as he was being led to a patrol car.
Jackson, who was handcuffed behind his back at the time, ran through a pasture and into a wooded area, according to authorities.
Jackson is a white male with blonde hair, 5 feet-10 inches tall, weighing about 180 lbs., according to investigators.
Hall County Sheriff's Office Deputy Chad Mann confirmed the incident, saying that Jackson was being arrested on a variety of misdemeanor charges. He now has a warrant for a felony theft by taking charge. He is not considered dangerous.
