Speaking to the White County Rotary Club Tuesday, Rogers told the Rotarians the upcoming general assembly will be "like a freight train."
He said because of the moved-up federal primary on May 20, one of the first things they will take action on when the session begins will be to move the state primary up to coincide with the mandated federal election.
He indicated general assembly members will be wrapping up things quickly so they can get out on the re-election campaign trail.
Rogers said he doesn't think there will be any controversial issues come out of the session.
Rogers' district includes part of White County, though he says he represents all the people of the county equally.
