The World Affairs Council is hosting an event at the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College Wednesday to honor Mandela, who died last week after being ill for most of the year.
The event's organizers say former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Andrew Young, CEO of the Martin Luther King Center, Bernice King, and CEO of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Doug Shipman, are expected to speak at the 7 p.m. event.
Scheduled performers include the Soweto Street Beat and Drummers for Peace, and the Morehouse College glee club.
