MILTON - Investigators said they believe a 19-year-old Milton man who was shot to death in his driveway Tuesday night was a random target in an armed robbery.

Milton Police Capt. Shawn McCarty told Fox 5 News that Christopher Walker was approached by a gunman in the driveway of the Walker home just before 7:30 p.m.

"At that point, the victim decided he wasn't going to give his items to the suspect and they got in a struggle, and it was during this struggle that the victim was shot in the back of the head," said McCarty.

Walker was taken to North Fulton Regional Hospital, where he died.

Family members told police Walker was a student at Georgia Perimeter College.
