Authorities said 17-year-old Peter Ian Roberts died in a single vehicle crash on Sawnee Drive near Adair Park subdivision just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
They said it appeared Roberts was traveling westbound when he crossed into the eastbound lane and overcorrected, hitting a mailbox on the driver's side of the car.
Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the accident.
