UNDATED - The rain is welcome for drought relief, but it has put a damper on some spring activities scheduled this weekend.

The organizers of the Rabbittown Parade and Festival canceled their Saturday parade, which had been scheduled for 10 a.m., but the festival at the East Hall Community Center will go on as scheduled. Organizers said they have nearly 50 vendors for this year's festival.

Opening Day ceremonies and games for Gainesville Parks and Recreation Little League baseball and softball have been canceled due to rain. Parks and Rec officials said they will watch the forecast and make a decision Sunday morning on whether they will go forward with an Easter Egg Hunt on the Midtown Greenway Sunday afternoon.

This story will be updated as AccessNorthGA is notified of cancellations.
