Gwinnett Fire Lt. Colin Rhoden said when crews arrived on the scene just before 9:45 they found the man suffering from second degree burns to his hands, face, and limbs.
Investigators believe the small propane tank exploded when it got too close to a small fire that had been set by the man. Rhoden said fire crews extinguished some small spot fires caused by the explosion.
The name of the injured person was not released.
