CUMMING - The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is looking for a 27-year-old man who failed to complete his annual registration as a sex offender.

Authorities said Curtis Joe Motes was convicted of child molestation in Hall County in 2006, and he was last known to reside at 5774 Adrian Lane, which is a Gainesville address in Forsyth County.

Sheriff Duane Piper, who took office in January, said the department has placed a renewed emphasis on keeping track of the whereabouts of sex offenders in the county. Currently, 113 sex offenders are required to register in Forsyth County; 18 offenders are currently in jail.
