Barrow Co. authorities investigate arson

BETHLEHEM - Barrow County fire investigators say they have a case of arson on their hands in connection with a Thursday evening house fire.

Battalion Chief Mike Stoops said his crews arrived at the house in the 900 Downing Drive in Bethlehem around 6:45 p.m. and found it heavily involved in flames.

The house had been vacant for more than a year, according to Stoops. Both the Barrow County Fire and Sheriff's Departments are handling the investigation.
