"The juvenile had gotten outside the house, which had alarms on the doors, and he was found in the pool," said Capt. Tim Chapman of the White County Sheriff's Office
Chapman said the incident report stated that the child was crying loudly in the ambulance while being transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, which he indicated was a good sign.
Officials first wanted to transport the child by helicopter to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, but were unable to do so because of weather conditions.
There was no update on the child's condition Monday morning.
