The news cam earlier in the week, and Jefferson City Manager John Ward said the move is an economic boon for Jefferson and Jackson County.
"Initial employment numbers are for 500 new jobs and that will ramp up as the facility comes on to full operation up to 800 new jobs," said Ward.
Ward said the 826,000 square-foot facility will be located on State Route 82 in the northern part of the city.
The warehouse will serve as a distribution facility for T.J. Maxx, Marshall's and Home Goods.
Ward did not say when the facility would be ready for initial operation.
