HALL COUNTY - Almost 4,000 Jackson EMC customers in northwest Hall County went without electricity for about an hour Friday morning.

Jackson EMC spokeswoman Katie Graham said that a squirrel got into the transformer at the Bark Camp station and caused the outage.

Residents in the area reported the outage happened just after 10 a.m. Power was restored to all but a few customers by 11:15 a.m.
