GAINESVILLE - While the Oxley Group is known for its national business and leadership training, the owners of the business also have an eye for expanding local business, as well. To that end, the company has purchased property in downtown Gainesville.

The 131 Green Street building is situated on the corner of Green Street and Brenau Avenue.

"We are purchasing the former SunTrust Office facility so that we can focus on the Greater Metro Atlanta market where we live and play," said President Andrew Oxley.

Oxley's plans for the building include a complete renovation to the facility while keeping its historical look. The building many years ago housed a service station.

"We love the current look of the building and will keep the special character that many have commented on," said Oxley.

The Oxley Group's current client list includes international jewelry designer Cartier, Progressive Insurance, Coca-Cola, Mohawk and CNN, among others. With the company's new property, the goal is to focus on more local businesses.

Don Grimsley, Director of Client Development said, "Our national business is very strong and while we will continue to foster those relationships, we are also putting a great amount of effort in bringing our expertise to local businesses such as Syfan Logistics, Rushton and Co., McGarity's, Bates Carter, Full Media, Turner Wood and Smith Insurance, Krystal and Challenged Child to name a few."

The Oxley Group's primary goal is to help organizations realize the untapped human potential that would drive increased productivity and profitability, according to Grimsley.

"We assist organizations in developing the skills and behaviors necessary to achieve their desired future results," Grimsley said. In addition to training, much of The Oxley Group's business centers around helping businesses hire the right people for the right position.

Brent Hoffman with Prudential Georgia Realty represented SunTrust in the sale of the property.
