Jennifer Niday apparently hit her head when she fell down a flight of stairs. She was in Athens at the time of the incident, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post. Niday was 36-years-old and the mother of two children.
The newspaper reported Niday had worked at the school for five years and had been an educator in Gwinnett county for 13.
Grief counselors are at the school should students and staff need to talk.
McKendree Elementary is in the Collins Hill High School cluster, which is in the Suwanee area.
