CLEVELAND - Three people were injured and one was airlifted to a hospital Tuesday as a result of a single-vehicle wreck west of Cleveland.

The crash was reported around 1:30 p.m. on Highway 115 west of Cleveland between the entrances to Ferguson Circle.

White County Sheriff's Department spokesman Tim Chapman said officers reported that three of the injured were transported to the hospital.

According to the investigating officer, the driver said while coming out of a curve the steering wheel locked up and the vehicle would not straighten up. The vehicle ran off the road into a ditch, hitting a culvert flipping the vehicle over on its top.

The Chevrolet TrailBlazer SUV came to rest in front of Countywide Auto Repair. The extent of injuries was not available.
