Barrow Co. authorities say missing mother, baby are safe

WINDER - Barrow County authorities said Friday afternoon that a mother and her 14-month-old daughter who had been missing from home more than a week are safe.

Lt. Matt Guthas said 30-year-old Tanya Gippert left home with her infant daughter on August 28 and her husband reported her missing August 30. Guthas said Gippert left home voluntarily.

Guthas said no charges are anticipated, since there was no evidence of criminal activity regarding in connection with the incident.

Tanya Gippert and her daughter were last seen August 28, 2013
