It was a total team effort for Buford (3-0) as no ball carrier had more than 49 yards on offense and the defense completely shutdown the Bulldogs (2-1).
Hancock Central came into the game having allowed just 20 total points on the season.
The Bulldogs actually looked like they would strike first getting a 68-yard pass play to the Wolves' 12 on the opening play of the game. But the Buford defense held and would allow the Hancock offense just one more first down the entire game.
The Buford defense held the Bulldogs to minus-25 yards rushing for the game and Hancock Central did not complete another pass after the opening play.
Tre Neal scored on a 27-yard pass from Montgomery VanGorder on Buford's first possession and Thomas Wilson would add a 13-yard TD run and Ryan Coleman a 7-yard run to give the Wolves' a 21-0 lead after the first quarter.
Josh Thomas and Tyler Shipman followed with 1-yard TD runs, Steven Reece had a 30-yard TD pass from Taylor Mitchell, and Evyn Copper added a 52-yard punt return for a touchdown, all in the second quarter, as Buford exploded for a 49-0 halftime lead.
Austin Simpson had a 6-yard TD run in the third quarter and Martin Mangram had a 6-yard TD run in the fourth quarter to finish the scoring.
Buford finished with 195 yards rushing and 167 yards passing for the game.
The Wolves will take a bye next week before playing host to Banks County on Sept. 27.
