Johns Creek police spokesman Doug Nurse says the body was found by a couple walking their dog around 4:15 p.m., about a quarter mile from Taylor Road Middle School in Johns Creek. Nurse said the man was found face down in the creek trapped under a log.
Nurse tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that investigators didn't know how long the body had been there, and that police had not had any missing person reports. He said police had tentatively identified the man, who was found with a wallet and backpack, but were still notifying his relatives. Nurse described the man as a "young adult."
