Suwanee, Buford men among 12 arrested in credit card breach

BOISE, Idaho - Twelve Georgians, most from Gwinnett County, have been arrested after police in Idaho linked them to credit card numbers stolen in recent major corporate security breaches.<br /> <br /> The suspects, including one man from Suwanee, two men from Buford and six men from Lawrenceville, are accused of using stolen credit card account numbers to buy gift cards from retailers in Boise. Police believe the 12 traveled from Georgia to Idaho to buy the gift cards and then sell them, pocketing the cash.<br /> <br /> Detective Wade Spain with the Boise Police Financial Crimes Unit said in a press statement, ""We have to thank some alert local store employees for realizing the gift card purchases were suspicious and calling police."<br /> <br /> The employees from several local retailers apparently became suspicious and called police after a group of suspects came into the stores and used multiple cards to make gift card purchases. Police said some of the cards failed to process, but the suspects managed to buy $15,000 worth of gift cards before they were arrested.<br /> <br /> Detectives said they found evidence the accounts being used by the suspects are tied to one or more of the security breeches recently reported by several large corporations. <br /> <br /> The Boise, Idaho Police Department identified those arrested and charged with felony burglary as:<br /> <br /> Jonathan Kennard Penn, 20, Suwanee, GA<br /> <br /> Charles Ontavious Moore,25.
