HOSCHTON -- Mill Creek has everything set up for a chance at something big.

The Hawks handled Mountain View 55-7 on Friday to move to 4-3, 3-1 in Region 7-AAAAAA and set up a three-game finish that gives Mill Creek a chance to make a run at the 7-AAAAAA crown.

The Hawks finish with Collins Hill, Norcross and Peachtree Ridge, and if they win out, they could give themselves a chance to tie North Gwinnett (also sitting with one region loss).

Mill Creek will hope for more performances like Fridays en route to the finish.

The Hawks rolled up 214 yards rushing, including 47 and a touchdown for quarterback Daniel David -- who also passed for 156 yards and three touchdowns, which tied the school record for career scoring passes (with graduate John Russ). David completed 5 of 7 passes on the night, hitting Joseph Hull for an 80-yard touchdown and a 19-yard TD. David also found Jake Lund for a 12 yard TD.

Brian Efianayi led Mill Creek with 95 yards rushing and a score, while Johnathan Hawkins also had 73 yards rushing and a TD.

Mill Creek finished with 370 yards of offense, while Mountain View had 266 total yards.

The Hawks will take a bye next week before facing Collins Hill on Oct. 24.
